TY Students raising funds for Oesophageal Cancer

A number of Transition Year pupils were involved in raising funds and awareness for Oesophageal Cancer in the Marshes and Aldi on Friday 1st March. Oesophageal Cancer is 100% curable if detected early, however, the sad fact is that the majority of oesophageal cancer patients wait 3 months before contacting their GP. Students sold lollipops and provided the public with information about the illness in order to help combat the disease. Students have been working hard in their community efforts this year and are enjoying giving something back to the community.
