Dundalk Youth Arts Festival mindfulness and movement workshop

As part of the Dundalk Youth Arts Festival, the new first year students of Coláiste Chú Chulainn took part in mindfulness and movement workshops with Tai-chi master Kalichi. Students practiced different breathing and movement techniques to help with their studies (And have lots of fun of course!). Many thanks to everyone at the Dundalk Youth Centre who organised the event!


Cake Sale in aid of the Irish Cancer Society

We would like to thank all the staff and students (and parents of course!) who brought in cakes and buns and crumbles and tarts for our bake sale organised by the Home Economics Department. We are delighted to say that we raised €347 for the Irish Cancer Society. Thank you all for helping out!

We were delighted to open our doors to our newest group of students at the end of August. It is wonderful to watch our little school grow bigger! Our new first years have gotten off to a great start, have a look at our photo gallery to see what we've been up to!



Coláiste Chú Chulainn runs Felda 10k for St. Vincent de Paul

We'd like to say a big thank you to our staff, the members of our board of management, and parents who togged out on Saturday morning to take part in the Felda 10k run. Well done to everyone who took part!


Princess wins internet safety poster competition

We are delighted to announce that Princess Airewele has won her age category in the Trend Micro ‘What’s your story?’ internet safety poster competition. She is being awarded a prize of €250 to take home, and €250 for the school. The poster was judged on creativity, appropriateness and effectiveness by the safety departments from Twitter, Facebook, Yahoo, Webwise and Smartfutures.ie.

The poster will be used to support and promote Trend Micro’s Internet Safety for Kids and Families (ISKF) initiative.  The goal of this initiative is to build a generation of responsible digital citizens whose online behaviours demonstrate media literacy, safety, security, ethics and community. Princesses poster will be made available to educational institutions/schools around the country to aid with the education process.
