CCC vs. Ardgillan

Coláiste Chú Chulainn qualify for knock-out with victory over Ardgillan

A 3-1 win over North County Dublin school, Ardgillan CC, ensured Coláiste Chú Chulainn qualified from the group stages of the North East Leinster minor competition. Three goals from open play – two from Joe Mee and one from Mark Agnew - gave the visitors a perfect start as they raced into a 0-3 lead and took full advantage of the strong sea breeze behind them at the venue in Balbriggan.

Ardgillan got back in the game with a goal just before half time from a well worked corner headed past the visitors custodian. The second half was a much tighter affair, with neither side able to find the net. The final score was enough to see the Dundalk school progress into the knock out stages of the competition.
