It was a great week for our 1st and 2nd Year Boys Basketball teams! While both teams faced tough opposition form their opponents Ballymakenny College, Drogheda and Patrician College, Carrickmacross, their performances showed impressive growth and determination.
The 1st Year team played hard against Ballymakenny College, narrowly losing 28-25 after leading for much of the game. Despite a tough match against Patrician College, standout performances from Obafemi J, David D, Emmanuel O, and Ahmed E made it a brilliant introduction to school basketball. All 14 players got valuable game time.
Our 2nd Year team showed incredible resilience against Ballymckenny College. After a challenging third quarter, they bounced back in the 4th, with Japhet A (11 pts), Naho M (10 pts), and Emmanuel O (9 pts) leading the charge. Final score: CCC 37-53 BKC.

On Friday, CCC’s 2nd Year team flipped the script with a dominant performance against Patrician College. After a solid first half (18-15 lead), they extended their lead in the 3rd quarter, winning 48-34. Naho M led with a game-high 26 points, Japhet A had 16, and Timileyin I impressed with 5 steals. All 15 players contributed to the win.
