Coláiste Chú Chulainn Students Celebrate Graduation from STEM Passport for Inclusion Programme
We are incredibly proud to announce that 16 of our 5th year students at Coláiste Chú Chulainn have successfully graduated from Maynooth University with a Level 6 Degree in 21st Century Digital Skills, as part of the STEM Passport for Inclusion programme they undertook in Transition Year. This incredible achievement marks the culmination of a year-long commitment to enhancing digital skills and fostering inclusion through innovative learning. The STEM Passport programme aims to encourage young people to engage with STEM learning and careers, and the students had to attend laboratory days in Microsoft DreamSpace in Belfast and work on university level assignments throughout their Transition Year.
The students were congratulated by Professor Katriona O’Sullivan, co-founder of the STEM Passport for Inclusion programme at Maynooth University, who celebrated their hard work and dedication. In her remarks, Professor O’Sullivan highlighted the exceptional commitment shown by the students throughout their participation in the programme. Her acknowledgment of their outstanding accomplishment reflects the high standards set by these young learners.
Additionally, Coláiste Chú Chulainn was awarded the Outstanding School Engagement Award, recognising the passion, skill, and expertise demonstrated by both our students and their coordinating teacher, Ms. White. Ms. White’s leadership and support have been instrumental in guiding the students to this achievement, which was proudly showcased last year at the British Embassy.

Their efforts reflect the values of the programme, and their achievement sets a remarkable example for future cohorts. Our current Transition year students have recently submitted their university level assignment and are working through the programme. We hope that this time next year that they too will be graduating with a Level 6 Degree.
